Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 77 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on June 12, 2024 to 5:00 am on June 13, 2024.

 

Arrested for mischief and outstanding warrants

On the 12th of June at 7:00pm, Belleville Police were called to an east end residence regarding a domestic dispute.  Officers arrived on scene and learned that during a heated argument, one partner had intentionally smashed the other’s cell phone rendering it inoperable.  It was also learned that the male involved had outstanding arrest warrants from the Belleville Police Service for failing to attend court on charges of driving while prohibited and failing to comply with a Probation Order.    As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and additionally charged with mischief.  The male was held for a bail hearing.
