The Belleville Police Service responded to 72 calls from July 2nd, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to July 3rd, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On July 2nd, 2021 at 8:03 p.m. officers were on general patrol in the area of Dundas St. West when they observed a 40-year-old female who was wanted on warrants by the OPP.  The Belleville resident was wanted on charges of impaired operation cause bodily harm, two counts of Fail to comply with an undertaking and two counts of Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.  The female was transported to Belleville Police Service and then turned over to the OPP.

Belleville, ON – On July 2nd, 2021 at 12:21 pm, a 36-year-old Belleville women attended the front counter at the Belleville Police Service and advised she was turning herself in on outstanding warrants.  Stephanie Osborne was wanted by Belleville Police stemming from an incident that occurred on June 28th, 2021 when a motor vehicle entered the water at Myers Pier.  Osborne was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle – cause death according to section 320.13(3) of the Criminal Code. She was held for a show cause hearing on July 3rd, 2021.

City Police also report a steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on the 10th of June 2021.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance
