Belleville, Ontario – On the 12th of July at 9:30 p.m. Police responded to the area of North Front Street regarding a disturbance. Police attended the area and located a female acting out. An investigation ensued revealing that the 35-year-old female was causing a disturbance and was found to be intoxicated in a public place. As a result, the female not from the Belleville area, was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and transported to the Belleville Police Service where she was held until sober.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on July 13th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
