Domestic Assault
Belleville, On- On 26 January 2021, at 1:00 p.m., police received a call to Front Street regarding an assault. The victim advised that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend who had fled the area. The male, a 41-year-old Belleville man, was known to police, and he was located at 9:00pm walking on Octavia Street. He was charged with one count of assault and one count of failing to comply with a release order. He will appear in court on 22 February 2021. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
Arrest of Warrants
Belleville, On- On 27 January 2021, at 1:50 a.m., police received a call about a disturbance at a west end address. Police arrived and learned that a male and female had been arguing. The male had fled prior to police arrival; however, police followed his footprints to a nearby residence. The male was identified, and police learned that had had an outstanding warrant for domestic assault, break and enter, mischief, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. The male, a 42-year-old from Belleville was arrested and held for bail on 27 January. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
Domestic Assault
Belleville, On- On 27 January 2021, at 2:50 a.m., police attended a domestic disturbance call at a west end apartment building. On arrival police spoke with the involved female who advised that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend while putting their infant child to bed. Police located the male and arrested him for domestic assault. A 35-year-old Belleville man was charged with one count of assault and held for a bail hearing on 27 January. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
