Assault
Belleville ON- On the 8th of February, 2021 at 2:51 p.m., Belleville Police were called by VIA rail, requesting assistance regarding a male and female fighting on one of their trains. Further information was obtained that the male had outstanding warrant from Montreal. The female was able to seek safety with the conductor prior to arrival at the Belleville train station. When the train arrived in Belleville, male was taken into custody for assault, assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer. The male is being held for a Show Cause Hearing on the 9th of February 2021.
Mischief Charges
Belleville ON- On the 8th of February, 2021 at 8:13 p.m., Belleville Police responded to and east end residence regarding a male who had broken a window. Police arrived on scene and arrested a 23-year-old Belleville man for mischief. He was released from custody with a court date on March 11th, 2021.
City Police report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on February 9th, 2021. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included noise complaints, disturbances, domestics disputes, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, and calls to assist ambulance.
