The Belleville Police Service responded to 39 calls between 5:00 a.m. on February 23rd 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on February 24th 2021.

Suspicious Incident Leads to Charges

Belleville, ON – On February 23rd 2021 at 10:13 a.m., police were called to an apartment complex on Sidney Street for a report of two males observed acting suspiciously.  Information received from a witness confirmed the two males entered an office area of the building, and appeared to be taking keys from the office.  The males were then observed to be removing items from selected mailboxes.  Police arrested and so far, have charged a 34-year old city man with the offences of mischief – under $5,000.00 and break and enter with intent.  He has been held for a show cause hearing to be held on February 24th. Further, 29-year old city man Kevin Perrier was also arrested and with charged mischief – under $5000.00 and break and enter with intent.  Perrier was released on a Form 10 undertaking with conditions, and a first appearance court date set for March 18th 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice.
