Warrants
Belleville ON, On 21 February 2021, at 11:00 a.m., police were called about suspicious female on Holloway Street. Investigation revealed the women had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for assault. 36-year-old Belleville resident Theresa KELLEHER was arrested at the scene. She was released on an undertaking and will appear in court on 11 March 2021.
Belleville ON, On 21 February 2021, at 8:00 p.m., Kingston Police called officers in Belleville to report they had a male in custody who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for breach of probation. 25-year-old Belleville resident Benjamin BELLERIVE was returned to Belleville by officers. He will appear in court later today for a bail hearing.
Arson
Belleville ON, On 21 February 2021, at 2:30 p.m., officers attended an address on Victoria Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Investigation showed a fire had been intentionally set outside the doors of the home. The fire was extinguished quickly. A 25-year-old male from Belleville was arrested nearby and charged with one count of Arson. He will appear for a bail hearing today.
Police Pursuit
Belleville ON, On 22 February 2021, at 2:20 a.m., an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle acting suspiciously in the downtown core. A check of the licence plates showed they were stolen from the Toronto area. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled into the area of John St and Victoria Ave. Police terminated the pursuit for public safety reasons. The vehicle was described as an older Nissan Sentra, dark in colour. Ontario licence plates CHZP 391 were attached.
