Arrested after Fight
Belleville ON, On 19 February 2021, at 5:55 p.m., police received a 911 call to Moira Street West regarding a disturbance. On arrival, police were advised that a male and female had been involved in a fight. The male had left prior to police arrival, and he was located a short time later on Purdy Street. Police identified the male as 38-year-old Daryl Verner of Belleville and learned that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for several fraud and failing to comply with undertaking charges. Verner was arrested and later released. He will appear in court on 25 March 2021
Uttering Threats
Belleville ON, On 19 February 2021, at 8:45 p.m., officers attended an address on Church Street in regards to an unwanted person. Upon arrival officers spoke to staff who indicated that a 36-year-old Belleville woman was trying to enter the premises. During the encounter, a staff member was assaulted and threatened. As a result, the woman was taken into custody. She was charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death, one count of assault, and one count of breach of probation. She was held for a bail hearing on 20 February 2021.
