Request for Public Assistance

Belleville, ON - The Belleville Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance regarding an attempt robbery in the city’s east end.  At approximately 6:15 p.m. on December 8th, 2020, police were contacted from a taxi company regarding one of their driver’s had a weapon display to them by a female demanding money.  No money was taken and no injuries received by the driver.  The female suspect fled, on foot, west bound of Haig Rd.  If anyone has any information, please contact Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.  You can report anonymously as well by contacting Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Trespass to Property Act Arrest

Belleville, ON – On December 8th, 2020, at 7:45 p.m., police were called to an address on Sidney St regarding an unwanted male.  When the suspect male refused to leave, after numerous requests by the home owner and police, he was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act for “fail to leave premises when directed”.  The 24-year-old Belleville man was released shortly after on a Provincial Offence Notice. 

Arrest on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On December 9th, 2020 at 1:40 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Station St. due to a suspected passenger wanted on warrants by OPP.  After confirming the suspect male was in the vehicle, police attempted an arrest which ended in a taser deployment due to the male becoming physically resistant.  28-year-old, Jordan ROWE, of Toronto was charged with one count of obstruct peace officer by resisting arrest and released to OPP custody on an Appearance Notice with a court date of January 7th, 2021.
