Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, ON – On the 18th of December 2020 at 9:26 a.m. Police attended on Sidney Street in response to a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported; and as a result of the investigation, the at fault driver was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Harassment
Belleville, ON – On the 13th of December 2020 Police began an investigation into a complaint of harassment. As a result, on the 18th of December 2020, a 27-year-old Prince Edward County male was charged with Criminal Harassment and released on a Form 10 Undertaking. He will attend court on the 18th of January 2021 to answer to the charge. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
R.I.D.E.
Belleville, ON – City police conducted a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere program on the evening of December 18th, 2020, and into the early morning hours of December 19th, 2020. A total of 211 motor vehicles were checked. One roadside breath demand was made and a sample was provided into an Approved Screen Device. The sample did not register any impairment and the driver was sent on their way.
