The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls from December 16th 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to December 17th 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft

Belleville, ON- On 16 December 2020, at 5:50 p.m., police responded to a Millennium Parkway business with regard to a theft. Police were advised that a female had fled the store with a cart full of stolen goods. The female was quickly arrested, and the items were returned to the store. Kristal Burke, 29, of Kingston was charged with theft under $5000 and released on an appearance notice with a court date of 21 January 2021.

Theft/ Breach of Conditions

Belleville, ON- On 16 December 2020, at 8:30 p.m., police were called to a Millennium Parkway business with regard to two females shoplifting. The females fled the store in a vehicle with the stolen items. Police quickly located the vehicle and stopped it on Bell Blvd. Police identified the two females and learned that one of them was on conditions not to attend that particular business due to a prior charge. Crystal Bowers, 33, of Bancroft was charged with theft under $5000. Keyia Atkinson, 32, of Belleville was charged with theft under $5000 and failing to comply with a  condition of a release order. Both females were released on appearance notices with a court date of 21 January 2021.

Mischief

Belleville, ON- On 16 December 2020, at 9:50 p.m., police were called to a Moira Street West address regarding a male breaking items. On arrival, police observed an intoxicated male who had broken several items belonging to an ex-girlfriend. The male, a 26-year-old from Belleville, was arrested for domestic related mischief. He was released on an undertaking with a court date of 25 January 2021. His name is not being released at this time to protect the identity of the victim
