The Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls from August 07 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to August 8th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Traffic Enforcement

Belleville ON- On 07 August 2021 at 8:50 p.m. officers responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Front St near Campbell St.  Investigation revealed the vehicle had hit a bollard and had fled the scene before officers arrived.  Shortly there after, an OPP officer located the suspect vehicle in Rossmore, ON.  A 55yr old male from Belleville was charged with Failing to remain at the scene of an accident.  Prince Edward OPP are also investigating the driver.

Road Rage

Belleville ON- On 07 August 2021 at 12:30 p.m. officers responded to the report a crash on Dundas St. W.  Investigation revealed a blue coloured sedan (Hyundai or Nissan) with Pikachu stickers on the rear bumper had intentionally struck another car, sending it into the curb.  No injuries were reported.  The suspect vehicle was operated by a blonde female and was last seen westbound towards Quinte West.  Anyone with information about this vehicle or driver is encouraged to call Cst Dan Hounslow at (613) 966-0882 ext 4012.
