More Theft of Tools
Belleville, ON – On August 2nd 2021 at 8:55 a.m., police responded to an Ann Street location for a reported theft of tools. The investigation revealed that unknown person(s) broke through a rear door at the residence some time between July 30th at 4:00 p.m. and August 2nd at 8:00 a.m. Stolen was a large supply of tools, worth an estimated value of approximately $6,000.00. Young Driver Crashes into Car / Home
Belleville, ON – On August 2nd 2021 at 8:00 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle which had collided into a home in the south-east end of the city. The investigation revealed an 11-year old child had been driving while accompanied by a 67-year old female. The young driver lost control and collided, first with another motor vehicle parked in the driveway, and then a fence-line, and lastly striking the home itself before coming to a rest. Luckily, no injuries were reported. Both involved motor vehicles were recorded to have suffered moderate damage. The 67-year old passenger was charged with – Permit unlicensed person to drive motor vehicle, contrary to section 32(10) of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
