The Belleville Police responded to 68 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on 08 April 2021 and 09 April 2021 5:00 a.m.

Mischief

Belleville ON, On 8 April 2021, at 8:26 a.m., police attended a business on Bell Blvd. regarding a mischief to a parked trailer. Unknown suspects entered a trailer that was parked at the rear loading area. The suspects then lit a fire and caused substantial damage to the interior of the trailer. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service.

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville ON, On 8 April 2021, at 1105 a.m., police observed a male known to them who had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. Police stopped and talked to the male who provided a fake name. Police were able to positively identify the male’s true identity as he had his name tattooed on his forearm. Bradley Hamilton-Proud, a 24-year-old Belleville man, was arrested. He was held for a bail hearing on 9 April 2021.

Theft from Vehicle

Belleville ON, On 8 April 2021, at 2:33 p.m., police were contacted by a homeowner on Bogart Crescent. The victim reported that sometime overnight between 2 April 2021 and 3 April 2021, an unknown suspect entered their unlocked vehicle. The person removed cash and credit cards. Anyone with information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service. Police would also like to remind everyone to remove valuables from their vehicles and ensure they are locked.
