The Belleville Police Service responded to 57 calls from April 6th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to April 7th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Disturbances

Belleville ON-On April 6th 2021 at 530 p.m. Belleville Police were called to a South Front Street building regarding a male who had entered the front foyer and was found to be acting erratically and being verbally abusive towards its occupants.  Upon arrival it was determined the male involved had been arrested twice in the previous two days for similar behavior.  As a result, the 41-year-old Belleville resident was arrested again and charged with two counts of breach of probation and causing a disturbance.  The male is being held for a bail hearing on the 7th April 2021.

Belleville ON-On April 6th 2021 at 9:00 p.m. Belleville police attended an east end residence regarding a male who was causing issues with his neighbours.  Officers arrived on scene and were met with an agitated male who it was determined had caused mischief.  They male became resistive when the responding officers attempted to arrest him.  The male then caused damage to a police vehicle during the arrest.  A 27-year-old Belleville resident is being charged with 2 counts of mischief and 1 count of resisting a peace officer.  The male is being held for a bail hearing on the 7th of April 2021.

Break and Enter

Belleville ON-On April 6th 2021, Belleville Police responded to a residence on Plaza Square regarding a break and enter.  It was determined that the unknown suspect had entered the residence at approximately 3pm while the owner was outside.  The suspect stole a number of items before leaving the residence.  Police are looking to identify the suspect pictured below.  The suspect is described as a heavier set male approximately 30-40 years of age, wearing a white T-Shirt with a bird on it, a black jacket with red hood strings and black patterned bandana.
