Belleville Police Service responded to 72 calls for service from the 6th of April 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 7th of April 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Stolen Vehicles

Belleville, ON – On the 6th of April a north end car retailer reported the theft of two vehicles from their lot sometime during the first week of April. Stolen were a 2015 Ford Lariat F150 Grey in colour and a 2019 Ford Lariat F350 Black in colour. Neither vehicle was plated. If anyone has any information with regards to the theft or the whereabouts of the vehicles they are being asked to contact Cst. Dodds at Kdodds@police.belleville.on.ca

Domestic Assault

Belleville, ON – On the 6th of April at 11:25 a.m. police were called to a west end residence with regards to a domestic. Investigation resulted in an 85-year-old male being arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was later released on an undertaking with a court date of June 15th to answer to the charges. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Weapons and Threats

Belleville, ON – On the 6th of April at 11:45 a.m. police were called to Front St. with regards to a report of someone being threatened with a knife. Police investigation led to 28-year-old Heather Harper being arrested and charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and uttering threats. The Belleville resident was later released on an undertaking with a court date of July 2nd to answer to the charges.

Arrest on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 6th of April at 6:23 p.m. police were called to a residence in the cities West end in relation to a disturbance. Upon arrival police located a 34-year-old Prince Edward County male who had two outstanding arrest warrants for breaching his probation. The male was also found to be in contravention of an undertaking that he was released on, a recognizance that he was released on as well as his probation. The male was arrested and is being held in custody for a bail hearing on the 7th of April on the two breach of probation charges stemming from the arrest warrants plus additional charges that include breach of a recognizance, breach of an undertaking and two more charges of breaching his probation.

Belleville, ON – On the 6th of April at approximately 6:30 p.m. police attended The Quinte Regional Detention Center in Napanee with regards to a male who was being released from their facility but had outstanding arrest warrants that were being held by Belleville Police. 42-year-old Kingston resident William Dagnall was arrested on the outstanding warrants, taken to The Belleville Police Service where he was later released on an undertaking with a July 2nd court date. His charges include four counts each of obtaining property by false pretences under $5000 and fraud under $5000.
