Dispute leads to Weapons Charges

Belleville ON- On the 29th of April, 2021 at 0500 a.m., Belleville Police attended a disturbance at an east end apartment complex. The disturbance was resolved but further information was received that firearms and ammunition were in one of the building units and the person in possession of them was not authorized to have them.  A search of the unit resulted in 31-year-old Justin Dennis of Picton being charged with two counts of storing a firearm carelessly contrary to section 86(1) of Criminal Code, two counts of storing ammunition carelessly contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code, four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code, two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code and two counts breach of probation contrary to section 733.1 of the Criminal Code.  He was held in custody for a bail hearing on the 29th of April 2021 and held in custody.

Mischief to a Dwelling  

Belleville ON-On the 29th of April 2021 at 930 p.m., Belleville Police were dispatched to a east end residence regarding an unwanted male.  Investigation revealed the male who was known to the occupants, had smashed a basement window to enter the residence despite being told previously he was no longer allowed there.  As a result, 35-year-old Michael Boulter of Belleville was charged with mischief contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code and being unlawfully in a dwelling contrary to section 349(1) of the Criminal Code.  He was released with a court date of the 27th of May 2021.
