The Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service between April 14th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. and April 15th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Traffic Enforcement

Belleville, ON – On April 14th, 2020, at 1:03 p.m. police, while patrolling Old Hwy #2 East, initiated a traffic stop for speeding. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the 41-year-old female driver from Belleville was driving while under suspension. Police charged the female driver for speeding and driving while under suspension. She was released on a Part III summons and given a court date of June 1st , 2020 to face the charges.

Warrant for Apprehension

Belleville, ON – On April 14th, 2020, at 4:20 p.m. officers received information that a missing youth was at the VIA train station in Belleville. Officers attended the area and located the missing 16-year-old male. Further investigation revealed that the youth was also wanted on the strength of a Warrant for Apprehension regarding a Breach of a Community Supervision Order. The 16-year-old male was apprehended by police and transferred to a secure Youth Facility.
