Assault with a Weapon
Belleville ON-On the 11th of April 2021 at 1230 p.m., Belleville Police attended an East end housing complex regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived and located one of the involved persons suffering from minor injuries as a result of being struck with a bat during the altercation. As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Edward Yates of Belleville was arrested on the 13th of April and charged with assault with a weapon. He was released with a May 13th court date.
Transport Blocks Roadway
Belleville ON-on the 13th of April 2021 at 400 p.m. Belleville Police attended Airport Parkway between Elmwood drive and College Street East regarding a tractor trailer which was blocking the roadway. Through investigation it was determined that the driver had attempted to make a U-turn and the tractor had gone off the roadway on the soft shoulder. The transport was eventually towed back onto the roadway with no damage. As a result of the investigation the driver from Pennsylvania was charged with making a U-turn within 150 metres of a crest of a grade.
