Erratic driving leads to three-day licence suspension

On the 20th of June at 2:00am, Belleville Police observed a vehicle on North Front Street which was driving erratically.  Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver.  The driver was observed to be exhibiting signs of impairment.  Police continued the investigation by means of a Standard Field Sobriety Test.  At the conclusion of the investigation, a 53-year-old female from Belleville had her driver’s licence suspended for three days and her vehicle was towed. 


Break and Enter

On the 19th of June at 9:09am, Belleville Police responded to an apartment building on North Park Street regarding a break and enter into a laundry room.  Police learned that the suspect entered the laundry room through a window.  Once inside, the suspect observed cameras in the laundry room so they quickly departed without stealing money or property.  The suspect damaged the window while breaking into the laundry room.  Police reviewed the video and were able to identify the suspect.  Once located, police will be proceeding with charges of break and enter and mischief against a 35-year-old Belleville man.    


Arrested on Warrant

On the 19th of June at 7:02am, Belleville Police were patrolling Catherine St. when an officer recognized a 34-year-old male of no fixed address who was wanted on an arrest warrant by a neighbouring police agency. As a result, the male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and turned over to the respective police agency for processing.
