Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 100 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on May 11, 2023 to 5:00 am on May 12, 2023.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision - Fail to Remain / Impaired Driving

On the 11th of May 2023 at 6:42 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Mitchell Rd and Old Highway #2.  Information was received that the vehicle struck a pole and the airbags had deployed.  While Police and Paramedics were on route, further information was received that the female driver was picked up by a vehicle which then departed the scene.  Several witnesses provided a detailed description of the female and the vehicle which picked her up. 

Police continued the investigation and with the assistance from the public, police were able to identify, locate and arrest a 34-year-old female from Belleville.  The female was transported to the hospital for medical treatment due to the injuries she sustained in the collision.  Haley DINKLE was charged with Impaired Driving, Fail to Remain at the scene of an accident and Carless Driving.  She has a court date in June 2023.
