Total calls for service – Belleville Police Service responded to 91 calls for service in the 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 7th of March, 2023 to 5:00 am on the 8^th of March, 2023. 

Theft

On 6 March 2023, at 5:35 pm, Belleville Police responded to the Beer Store on South Front Street regarding a theft. Police were advised by the complainant that while she was bringing empty bottles into the store, she set her phone down while inside. A male then took her phone and fled the store in a white Ford F150. Weapons

On 7 March 2023, at 10:00 pm, police were called to a bar on Front Street regarding a disturbance.  Upon arrival, police saw a male party armed with a large knife.  The male fled on foot and a brief foot chase ensued.  The male was arrested a short distance away without incident. Logan McCoy, 20, of Belleville was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation. He will appear in court on 20 April, 2023.
