Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 105 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 30th of September, 2022.

Break and Enter

On the 29th of September, 2022, at 6:10 am, Belleville Police attended a business on Cannifton Road, Belleville, Ontario, regarding a break and enter. Information received indicates that two suspects were involved and fled the scene.  Police are requesting anyone with information to call Constable Laura White at 613-966-0882 ext 4218 or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

Attempt Murder

On the 29th of September, 2022, at 1:43 pm, Belleville Police were called to Pine Street Belleville, Ontario, for reports of a shooting. Initial information indicated that two males had entered the residence and shot the victim several times with a handgun. The victim, a 28-year-old Toronto, Ontario male, was transported to Belleville General Hospital with several gunshot wounds and later taken to Kingston General Hospital, where he remains in serious condition. Police, through investigation, were quickly able to identify suspects for the shooting. At 3:36 pm, members of the Belleville Police Service “Project Renewal” and the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Princess Street and Taylor Kidd Boulevard in Kingston, Ontario.

As a result of the investigation and vehicle stop, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

Twenty-three-year-old Quorde Quincy Bowen of Toronto, Ontario, was charged with:

  1. Attempt Murder using a restricted firearm
  2. Two counts of Fail to comply with a probation order
  3. Four counts of Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a Probation Order
  4. Possession for the Purpose of trafficking
  5. Possession of property obtained by crime

Twenty-four-year-old Nathaniel Mascoll of no fixed address was charged with:

  1. Attempt Murder using a restricted firearm
  2. Three counts of Adult fail to comply with a probation order
  3. Possession for the Purpose of trafficking
  4. Possession of property obtained by crime

Twenty-three-year-old Destiny Kaitlyn Burns was charged with:

  1. Possession for the Purpose of trafficking
  2. Possession of property obtained by crime

All three were held for a bail hearing on the 30th of September, 2022.
