Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 141 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 16th of June, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 17th of June, 2022.

Assault

On June 16, 2022, at 5:55pm, Belleville Police responded to an east end residence regarding an assault.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old female.  Virginia MacDonald of Belleville was charged with one count of Assault with a Weapon and released on her own recognizance.  The accused will appear in court on July 28, 2022. 

Storm Report

On June 16, 2022, the Belleville Police received an overwhelming number of calls and reports from the community regarding the severe storm that passed through the city beginning at 3:15pm.  Many of the reports included live hydro wires laying across roads, houses and vehicles, trees obstructing roadways and driveways, damage to homes and vehicles and dangerous conditions. 

No fatalities or serious injuries were reported.

The combined efforts of our local emergency services, EMS, Fire, Public Works, Elexicon, Military Hasty P’s and the Belleville Police provided much needed assistance to our local residents.
