Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 94 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 8th of June, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 9th of June, 2022.

Warrants

On the 8th of June, 2022, at 1034 am, Belleville Police were called by passing motorists informing that a female was walking on Hwy 62 near Hwy 401 without any pants on.  Officers attended and spoke to the female.  Investigation revealed that she had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend a scheduled court date. As a result, thirty-one-year-old Kayla Brickman of Belleville, Ontario, was arrested for the warrant and held for a show cause hearing on the 9th of June, 2022.

Assault/Assault Police

On the 8th of June, 2022, at 10:00 pm, Belleville Police were called to a local shelter on Church Street Belleville, Ontario, for a report that a female had been assaulted.  As a result of the investigation, forty-two-year-old Tanya Jamieson of Belleville, Ontario, was arrested for assault. During the arrest, an officer was kicked.  No injuries were sustained.  The accused was further charged with Assault on police. Jamieson was released with a court date of the 28th of July 2022.

Mischief/Prohibited Weapon

On the 9th of June, 2022, at 12:43 am, Belleville Police were called about two males yelling in the area of Meyers Street and Bettes Street in Belleville, Ontario.  Officers investigated and located a smashed front door to a home. The male responsible was found and arrested nearby. During a search of the male incident to arrest a prohibited weapon- brass knuckles were located. As a result, thirty-one-year-old Travis Graham of Belleville, Ontario, was charged with Mischief and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. Graham was released with a court date of the 28th of July 2022.
