Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 80 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 10th of May, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 11th of May, 2022.

Public Intoxication

On the 10th of May 2022, at 9:23 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a location in the east end of the city male causing a disturbance.  Officers located a 26-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident who was intoxicated and yelling at his spouse.  The male was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Belleville Police Service.  The male was held until he was sober and able to care for himself.

Project RENEWAL – Drug (Cocaine Trafficking) Arrest

On the 10th of May, 2022, due to a Drug Trafficking investigation in the City of Belleville. Members of Project Renewal, with the assistance of the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team and Belleville Police Service K9 Unit, executed a search warrant at a Belleville, Ontario, residence. Police located cocaine and $ 6,860.00 in Canadian currency. As a result of the investigation, twenty-nine-year-old David Abraham of Toronto, Ontario, was charged with:

  1. Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
  3. Fail to Comply with a Recognizance

Abraham was released with a court date of June 13, 2022

Motor Vehicle Collision

At approximately 7:00 am, Belleville Police responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle in the city’s east end industrial park. The motorcycle rider sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The Belleville Police Service Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
