Single Motor Vehicle Collision

On May 3, 2022, at 3:00pm, the Belleville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Farnham Road, involving a school bus occupied by 18 youth and the driver.  Officers determined that the bus had left the roadway and struck a hydro pole causing the pole to snap in half.  Hydro wires disconnected from the pole and rested on top of the school bus.  Emergency crews were able to safely remove the children from the bus without incident.  A 10-year-old and a 15-year-old were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and were released a short time later.  The collision is still under investigation by the Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit.
