Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 202 calls for service over a 72-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of April, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 2nd of May, 2022.

Domestic Assault

On the 29th of April 2022, at 5:00 pm, a female attended the Belleville Police Service to report a domestic assault. The female explained to officers that her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her, prompting the complaint. Investigation into the complaint led to officers arresting a forty-year-old Belleville, Ontario, man for Domestic Assault. The male was held for a show cause hearing on the 30th of April 2022. The male’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.

Warrants

On the 30th of April at approximately 6:30 pm, Belleville Police were called to a business in the east end regarding a male acting strange.  Upon police arrival and identifying the suspect, it was determined that the male was wanted by Belleville Police for failing to attend court.  As a result, forty-six-year-old Terrance Roberts of no fixed address was arrested and later released with a court date of the 26th of May, 2022.

On the 30th of April, 2022, the Ontario Provincial Police notified the Belleville Police that they had a male in custody on Belleville warrants for three counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation order, three counts of Fail to Attend Court, and two counts of Fail to Attend for Prints.  As a result, thirty-eight-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Cory COLES was arrested by Belleville Police and held for a show cause hearing on May 1st, 2022.  

Fail to Comply with Court and Probation Order

On May 1st at approximately 1:30 am, Belleville Police were called to a residence in the east end for an unwanted intoxicated male.  Upon arrival, police discovered the suspect, twenty-nine-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Ryan Alexander was breaching conditions of a court order and probation order.  As a result, Alexander was arrested and later released with a court date of May 19th, 2022. 

Arrested on Warrants & TPA

On the 1st of May 2022 at 11:05 a.m. Belleville Police responded to a business on Bell Boulevard, Belleville, Ontario, regarding a shoplifter. The male fled the store on foot and was arrested by police just South of the business. Police identified the male as thirty-nine-year-old Dana Parker of no fixed address. Further investigation revealed that Parker was wanted on three outstanding warrants by Belleville Police for Mischief, Possession of a Schedule # 1 Substance- Controlled Drug and Substance Act, Impaired Operation, Fail to Attend Court, and suspend Drive- Highway Traffic Act. Parker was held for bail on the outstanding Warrants and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Engage in Prohibited Activity under the Trespass to Property Act.
