On 6 October, 2022, at 2:14pm, police received a call to the intersection of Victoria and Herchimer regarding a male pulling a gun out of a backpack. Police began searching the area, and out of caution, advised area schools to hold and secure until the male was located. The male was located at 3:11pm at Herchimer and Pine Street. The 16-year-old male was cooperative and a pellet gun was turned over to police. The hold and secure was released as there was no danger to area students. The male was taken to his residence, and he was cautioned regarding his actions.
