Please be advised that on October 23^rd and 24^th of 2021 a Police Services Act hearing concerning the conduct of Sgt. Brad Lentini was held at the headquarters of the Belleville Police Service. The Service initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding an incident which had occurred in the cell block of the police facility on August 6^th, 2019. As a result of that investigation, Sgt. Lentini was charged with one count of Discreditable Conduct – Neglect of Duty for failing to ensure that an injured prisoner under his care received prompt medical treatment in keeping with the Service’s Prisoner Care and Control Policy.  The hearing officer, Retired Superintendent Greg Walton, released his decision on January 11^th, 2022 and issued a finding of guilt. 

A disposition hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 23^rd, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Joint Forces Room at the Belleville Police Service, which will determine the penalty imposed by the hearing officer.
