Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 86 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on June 06, 2023 to 5:00 am on June 07, 2023.

 

Assault

On June 7, 2023 at approximately 3:50am, police attended a residence in the east end of Belleville after receiving reports of a disturbance and that the occupants were in a physical altercation.  Upon arrival, police spoke to the involved parties and determined that a 20-year-old Belleville woman had physically assaulted her partner. As a result, she was arrested and charged with assault.  She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in July 2023.

 

Theft

On November 29, 2022, the Belleville Police Service was contacted regarding an allegation of an internal theft of medication by a staff member at Quinte Health Care.  Following an extensive investigation in cooperation with Quinte Health Care, 30-year-old James Holden of Belleville was arrested and charged on June 6, 2023, with one count of theft under $5000.  Holden was released on an Undertaking with a court date in July 2023.
