Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 207 calls for service over a 72-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 25th of November, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 28th of November, 2022.

Arrested on Warrants

On the 25th of November 2022, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the area of Station Street and Bettes Street, Belleville, Ontario, regarding an unconscious female. Police located a 34-year-old Belleville, Ontario, female who had outstanding warrants with the Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police. The female was arrested and handed over to the OPP.

Over 80 and Dangerous Operation

On the 26th of November 2022 at 6:54 pm, Belleville Police responded to an accident on Highway # 62 just north of Maitland Drive, Belleville, Ontario. Police investigation revealed that two vehicles were involved in a road rage incident, resulting in one vehicle colliding with the other.  As a result, 31-year-old Michael Forrest of Belleville, Ontario, was charged with Dangerous Driving, and 26-year-old Mario Berard of Markham, Ontario, was charged with over 80 mg of alcohol in the blood and later released with a court date of December 22, 2022.

Flight from Police

On November 27th, 2022, at 3:40 am, Belleville Police received an alarm call to a Millennium Parkway Belleville, Ontario, business.  The alarm company indicated a glass break and several sensors had been activated.  Belleville Police attended the area and located a vehicle leaving the scene. The vehicle was located a short time later at a Sidney Street Belleville, Ontario residence. A uniform patrol officer approached the vehicle in the driveway and had a brief conversation with a female driver and a male passenger.  After a short discussion, the driver fled in the car across the front lawn of the residence, back onto Sidney Street. Police were able to bring the vehicle to a stop on Bell Boulevard.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old Scarborough, Ontario, male was charged with the following:

  1. Breach of Probation
  2. Flight from Police
  3. Dangerous Operation
  4. Break & Enter

A 36-year-old Scarborough, Ontario, female was charged with the following:

  1. 15 counts of Fail to comply with a release order
  2. Fail to comply with a Probation order
  3. Drive while prohibited
  4. Flight from Police
  5. Dangerous operation
  6. Break & Enter

Both were held for a show cause hearing on the 28th of November, 2022.
