Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 73 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 18th of May, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 19th of May, 2022.

Breach of Probation

On May 19th 2022 at 12:30 am, a Belleville Police officer on General Patrol stopped a vehicle in the east end of the city for a traffic violation.  A female passenger was identified as being on a current probation order with one of the conditions to obey an overnight curfew.  As a result of the investigation, a thirty-seven-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident was arrested and charged with breaching her probation. The female was held for a show cause hearing on the 19th of May 2022. 

Warrants

On May 18th 2022 at 1:30 pm, a male wanted on an outstanding Belleville Police issued warrant was located and arrested by another police service and brought to Belleville, Ontario.  The Orleans, Ontario resident was arrested on two outstanding warrants from 2017 for theft under $5000 and failing to attend court.  Fifty-four-year-old Gholamreza Afsari was held in custody for a show cause hearing on the 19th of May 2022.

On May 18th at 4:00 pm, Belleville Police were dispatched to the east end regarding a disturbance.  Officers on the scene located a female who was known to have outstanding warrants for uttering threats-domestic, failing to attend court, failing to attend prints, causing a disturbance and resisting a peace officer.  As a result, thirty-four-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Lisa Seaboyer was arrested for the warrant and later released with a June 30th, 2022 court date.
