Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 74 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 16^th of May, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 17^th of May, 2022.

Fail to leave when directed

On the 16^th of May 2022 at 10:25 p.m. Belleville Police responded to the area of Lehtinen Street and Dewalt Street in Belleville, Ontario regarding an unwanted person. Police attended the area and located the complainant who led Police to a female who was refusing to leave a residence when being asked to do so. The forty-four-year-old female was intoxicated and non-compliant, resulting in the Police arresting her for Fail to Leave Premise When Directed under the Trespass to Property Act. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is to be released on a Provincial Offences notice when sober.
